So, here’s some baby info, for those interested. I think we’re having a girl (but keep in mind that I was convinced Lincoln was a girl until the very moment I saw he wasn’t) because I have not gotten the Puppps rash this time (Thank You, God!), the heart rate has averaged slightly higher than Lincoln’s was, and there are some cute girl clothes I want to buy. Pretty flimsy, heh?

Anyway, on the slightly more scientific side of things, I’m measuring exactly on for the week of pregnancy I’m on (i.e. 37 cm for week 37); my iron tested at the low end of normal (that is actually an improvement) a few weeks ago, so that is good; and my BP is consistently low (in a good way). Each time they try to get baby’s heart rate, baby squirms away, but that’s usually funny because as they get ready to check the heartrate they usually ask me, “So, is baby moving much?” Baby is head down, and has been for weeks. I’ve definitely dropped–this should be appreciated most by those of you who are shorter than me and have been at my house when you were pregnant: it is now quite uncomfortable for me to do dishes at my counter! Until a few weeks ago, my belly rested easily on top of the counter while I cooked, washed, etc. I feel for you girls who have helped me with dishes here when pregnant.

I was going to write that I’ve had 3 Braxton Hicks contractions (which is funny that I know the number because it is so pathetically small), but then I had enough more today that I’ve lost count (Don’t get too excited–the average length of them today was 5 seconds). I really don’t think I had any with Lincoln at all, so this is good.

I have finally packed the hospital bag for us and baby, and a “suitcase” for Lincoln in case he goes to someone else’s house while we are at the hospital, so I guess I’m ready. Oh! Except for those cookies I want to make, and that filing I need to do, oh, and the ironing I really want to have done so I don’t have to do it for a few more months, and of course the Christmas shopping. . .
